I didn't know her and She didn't Know me but a loss is a loss.Her name was Samantha Guzman. She was a High School Senior last year at a different school than mine but that does not matter to me. I've never spoke of her to anybody...Not one single soul. Her family and loved ones described her as a beautiful and ambitious Girl who was well respected and loved. She was a Very good student and Person as far as I know.She tried her best to live life to It's fullest and she always tried to stay on track. As far as I know,She was a good Person,A good Friend,A good Family member and a good Student. The time that she had on this planet was cherrished but something terrible happened to this young Woman. Something that has really changed me.
On,May,14,2006 she was with her friends hanging out but little did she know...She was in the wrong place at the wrong time.As they passed by a Bank,Theives suddonly ran out and engaged in a Shootout with the Guards of the bank.Caught in the crossfire,Samantha was shot twice....Her friends unharmed.
Nobody Stopped to help her.Nobody stopped at all...Only her friends.The Guards did nothing....The Citizens did nothing. Nobody but her Friends. By the time the ambulances arrived she was slipping away.All her friends could do was watch....Watch as she bled out upon the streets....Watch as their friend died.Her killers were never caught.
She was Two weeks away from doing something that alot of people can't even think of doing....She was two weeks away from living her dreams.I didn't know her but she was somebody's Daughter,Sister and Friend and by me just knowing that,It hurts me enough.
I'll never Know her and niether will you, but regardless,she was something to somebody else and now she's gone.She's gone and never,ever going to return.All thanks to someone's wreckless stupidity.What took her 18 years to build was taken from her in less than 2 minutes.
The thing that bothers me the most is that things like this happen everyday and People blame it on either God or Satan.But the Problem Isn't God or Satan...It's People.
