"Night descends. Could I have been a better person?"-Trent Reznor
I just got back from seeing Nine Inch Nails live! I know I didn't say anything about it before hand but I saw them! LIVE!
It's been like a dream come true. No. IT HAS been a dream come true.
I had such a goddamn blast! And although the adrenaline still hasn't died off yet, I honestly have to say that Reznor (My Hero!) and the rest of the new line-up performed the best concert I've ever attended tonight.
I trully feel like I've accomplished something tonight!
I've litterally waited almost ten years to see this band in action and I finally have.
I was standing there all concert long waiting to kinda wake up from what I was feeling might've really been a dream and I'm so glad it wasn't. I can't begin to even start on how great the show was!
The thing I always loved about Reznor was his dedication and relatability to his fans including myself, and at times I've often wondered if it was all apart of his image. Tonight solidified my thoughts of his strong dedication and relatabiliy to all be true!
"I've been doing this music shit for a while and it's cool to see that after all these years, the music that I wrote for myself is actually relatable to such a big room of people like this. Y'know, I didn't get into this business and write these songs to be famous or to fuck girls every night or whatever most people get into this business for but honestly....this [takes in the massive and electrifying Izod Center], this is what it's all about here.
Thank You. It's a beautiful feeling to see a room full of people like this who can all relate to each other and all because of the songs I wrote."
That's the speech that he gave in between the band's encore set. It meant alot to me.
Anyway, the music was perfect (Not really a surprise). The backdrops and visual pieces were gorgeous and the audience was great (except for the assholes who entering and exiting the damn aisle).
I got a great NIN shirt (the political statement is "ME" all the way) and I have a feeling everyone will see me in it for a while. I love it!
Thanks to Jason for the ticket!
I still can't believe it! I had such a blast.
