Poor George Lucas.

"Everyone's so full of shit; Born and raised by hypocrites. Hearts recycled, but never saved from the cradle to the grave." - Billie Joe Armstrong

Everyone's come to see Lucas as a sort of anti-christ of filmmaking and marketing, but all the while: It's the same people who continue to buy his merchandise and products, who're the ones who continuously complain about him. Funny, isn't it?

Nobody liked "Phantom Menace", but it was the highest grossing chapter of the Star Wars series. Nobody liked the new versions of the original Star Wars trilogy, but every new version he puts out flies off the racks. Nobody like "Indiana Jones 4", but the movie was one of the highest grossing films of 2008.

And this is the one that I really don't understand: How can people HATE "Phantom Menace" and "Attack Of The Clones", but ADORE "Revenge Of The Sith"?

You NEED those two chapters before Revenge Of The Sith, so why the hell do people complain so badly!?!

It's as if people can't grow the fuck up. The problem with fandom is that it's filled with people who're in their thirties and forties, and are afraid of anything new because they're stuck in their own childhoods. What about all of the subsequent generations?

As usual: Everyone is full of shit. People, for the most part, are all alike! They hear one negative comment about something, and they all tend to jump on the bandwagon just to have something to complain about.

My brother complains that George Lucas raped the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. But my argument is this: They're HIS franchises.

As a writer, I feel for the guy because I'd absolutely HATE it if everyone tried to make what's rightfully mine, into something of their own.

Okay, so I'll admit it: George Lucas is a money-grubbing whore. But think about all the other people who would be the same as he is, or even worse, if they were in his position?

People say that George Lucas turned into the very thing that he set out to destroy, but in fact, it's the complainers who're just as bad. They, themselves, have turned into the very people they didn't want to become: The old guys who hated everything.

Bottom line is this: The grass is always greener on the other side.

If you don't like George Lucas, then don't watch his movies or buy his merchandise. But if you continue to do both, then what is there to complain about?

It's that type of whimpiness, which is the reason why Star Wars geeks usually got their asses kicked in school.

Stop bitching....
