The Winchester Bros, Tony Stark, and Clark Kent: A Weekend In Review. (Lucifer Is Coming)

"All those breakthroughs; military funding, honey." - Tony Stark

This past weekend has been a blast!

It was a three-part packed fest for me within only two days. Between Supernatural's fifth pre-finale last Thursday night (which was no less than awesome!), Iron Man 2 last Friday morning (which, too, was no less than awesome!), and Smallville's ninth pre-finale later that night (which was also no less than awesome!) it seemed like karma was finally on my side.

First off, Supernatural's latest episode ("Two Minutes To Midnight") not only exceeded my expectations, but it also set up the drama and angst for the finale - everything this particular episode was supposed to do. Not only was the episode probably one of the most game-changing and epic episodes of the season, in my opinion, but it had an aura in and of itself that left a taste in your mouth by the end of the episode and kept you hungry for much more.... with the next stop being what was originally the series' final episode, which will air next week. Let's just call it Eric Kripke's swan song before he departs his brainchild of a television series for good.

Overall Episode Rating: A

Robert Downey JR. is back as Tony Stark on the big screen.... and my god, what an awesome return he's made after a two-year hiatus! Where do I begin about Iron Man 2?!

The action is beefed up, the acting quality hasn't faultered and it shows absolutely no sign of faultering anytime soon, Jon Favreau has re-proved that aerial combat isn't only for military films only, Don Cheadle proved to be a better Jim Rhodes than Terrence Howard could ever light a candle at, Gwyneth Paltrow shows that blondes aren't necessarily brainless, while Scarlett Johansson wore a skin-tight uniform.... Skin. Tight.

Also, Samuel L. Jackson was pretty good as Nick Fury, but it would've been cool to see him join the fight just once in order to give him an official introduction into the Marvel Movie Universe which is cameo in the first film's post-credits scene cemented into comic book movie history.

While I had a FEW nitpicks (1: Wishing Black Widow would've used her russian accent atleast once. 2: Hoping for a subplot between the Widow and her fellow russian, Whiplash, that might've given us a little backstory on both of the characters' origins. 3. Wishing that Whiplash has gone out in a better way) the movie still carried itself and the weight of the first film very, very well.

And without spoiling the post-credits scene for this installment of the Marvel Movie Universe.... let's just say that clouds aren't the only things that can fall from the skies.

Here's to Iron Man 3!

Overall Movie Rating: A+

Smallville passed it's prime a LONG time ago, but it obviously has a few sparks left in it which we should get to see throughout the next season which will surely be the series' last. Anywho, last weeks' episode was actually very good!

There's only one thing to say: Mara Kent was the Red Queen all along!

Not bad for a nine-year-old show, huh?

Now, only if Clark would fucking fly already! Geeeeez....

Overall Episode Rating: B+

Don't forget to catch the Supernatural 5th season finale next Thursday at 9PM on the CW, with the Smallville finale airing next Friday at 8 PM on the same channel! :)

(And DEFINATLEY don't forget to go see Iron Man 2 in the movies, if you haven't already.... you won't regret it, trust me!)
