"If you can't save him, kill him." - John Winchester
Two years ago to this very day (or what seems like more time than that), I created a montage that has stuck with me over the time that has since passed: The second entry into what was the soon-to-be massive "Supernatural" montage series which has since reached completion; it featured Sam Winchester as it's main focus.
"Sam Winchester".... that's a name that's sorta become synonymous with myself over the past six years or so, especially within the constant circle of people in my life. Without a doubt, the character is one that I not only identify with on a very personal level, but also one who I share an uncanny many, many, many qualities with - seeing as how I'm a younger brother, as well as the youngest member in an entire family, myself. And then there's the whole "really tall" thing that I've got going on, right?
Moreover to the point: The montage was one of my earliest pieces of work of the sort, but surprisingly, the end result was that it came out to be one of the most memorable montages I've ever created. It's got a documentarian or "ensemble compilation" look to it (as that's how I did montages back then) but for some reason or another, I wouldn't change a thing about it, not even today.
From All Soul's Day 2008 to All Soul's Day 2010, this montage hasn't yet lost it's touch....
