Had a dream about Mia just a small while ago before I woke up. We kissed in it - something that we never got around to doing in real life. There were plenty of opportunities when we were younger when we could've, but I never acted on them being the shy sixteen-year-old who I was at the time. I think that one particular instance in relation to that topic will always haunt me as one of my dearest regrets, but "c'est la vie," as the French would put it.
Psychologists say, quite often, that our dreams can sometimes form symbolic scenarios in our minds with the intent of fulfilling our subconscious wishes. I think it's true. Do I miss her? Sometimes. Have I learned from all of the dire experiences that she - my very first love - taught me all those years ago? Absolutely.
All I know is that it was all just a dream and that the cold winds are rising once more.... winter is here and the time for thoughts like those will be many. I'm pretty content with my Anjie these days.... time has changed everything once more, I suppose.
