"With great power comes great responsibility." - Ben Parker
It's been 3,714 days since the release of the original "Spider-Man" film. I didn't think it was possible, at first, but Marc Webb outdid both of Sam Raimi's first two magnificent films within the two and a half hours of the screentime allotted to him a decade and two months later. One of the best comic book movies ever made, the new reboot pays homage and pulls inspiration from the events of the "616," "Ultimate," and Raimi film mythos while elevating itself above any version of the character and his universe that we've seen on the big or small screen before. This is the definitive and faithful Spider-Man of the comics which fans have wanted to see since before 2002's outing which brings with it new explanations for the icon and his trademark mementoes. The acting is top-notch from all involved, the action and fun is there, and the emotion adds a whole new layer to the classic story that they chose to re-invent.

An excellent film with heart, integrity, and ambition.
