If you don't want to read about people's opinions or problems, then perhaps the internet, at large is not for you. Before one goes to type up a status, the typing area asks "what's on YOUR mind," not "what do other people WANT you to speak about". People have the right to speak about what they want to speak about and no one controls your News Feed but yourself.
