Television Review: Eric Kripke's "Revolution: Pilot".

"DaiQuan, "Revolution" might be better than "Supernatural," right?"

'I don't know about all that.... but it looks pretty cool. Eric Kripke is a genius.'

So! "Revolution" was pretty good!

As I predicted, the characters of this new series didn't show any signs of becoming the cultural icons that the protagonists of Eric Kripke's former series "Supernatural" have become in recent years, but they surely show promise in terms of depth and substance. The pilot proved inventive and imaginative but the narrative could use more attitude than what's been presented so far, execution-wise.

Many intriguing seeds were planted in the first episode, both emotionally and motivationally, and if the previous works of Eric Kripke and J.J. Abrams are anything to go by then we can expect highly-staked escalating storyarcs to top one after another as the show goes on. I, for one, absolutely can't wait.

Rating: 8/10
