Todd McFarlane's original cover art for "The Amazing Spider-Man" #328 sold for $657,250 at an auction three weeks ago. This is the same guy, mind you, who was paid $22,000 a month, per issue, at one point in his heyday. Contextually, it was a different market back then: Smaller venue with more room to distinctively break out, but I still think McFarlane's feats are impressive, nonetheless, though.
