How To Become Apathetic.

Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and CM Punk round out my top three of all time, respectively, but I relate to Bret on an entirely higher scale than any other wrestler.

While not attempting to victimize myself or search for a pity-party of any kind, he and I share the unfortunate exploitable trait of friendliness and whenever we seem to individually complain or mention our grievances, we're similarly met with the scripts being flipped on us as if we were the ones who perpetrated the wrongdoings to begin with. It's a recurring theme throughout Hart's career both inside and out of the ring and something that I deal with in my life and daily interactions with people too.

The "Bret screwed Bret" mentality held by Vince McMahon - the guy who betrayed his contract obligations and screwed Bret Hart out of his career and title - is a similar one that I've noticed many have about me. No matter what happens, how it happened, or how I handle something: I'm dismissed and told to get over my issues and emotions. No matter what, it's always "DaiQuan screwed DaiQuan," and quite frankly, I'm beyond sick of it.
