If you want something badly enough, no matter what it is, you have a responsibility to work at it until you make it become a reality because your goals matter solely to yourself more than anyone else and more vitally: If you continuously run from failure instead of transforming it into success then you'll run at the first sign of trouble no matter what alternate situations you come across afterwards because those situations will inevitably let you down somewhere down the line too. And there's no honor in being a coward.
Only the strong survive, true, but win or lose: A stand is all that matters in the end because it's a testament to your will to effect your environment rather than to have it control you. The only failure is concession.
