‎Above It‬.

"The Matrix" is very real in the sense that if you threaten people's false sense of things, they become violent over it. Whether it's over unverifiable religions, flawed politics, or an objectionable culture: Simple minds are always feral ones.

People will fight you to the death over the continued maintenance of their illusions because they depend on them for survival, seeing as how they were intentionally never taught how to live without them. The most powerful version of control is the kind where the victim believes they've come to their conclusions of their own free will.
