Sometimes situations with those we fall in love with don't work out, not because of outgrowth or loss of interest as many claim, but usually rather because the people we loved never existed in the first place. As humans, we tend to mentally filter the people in our lives for what we'd wish they'd be rather than for who they are in reality. And reality is a bitch.
