"The Real World: Cops Edition" or "Graceland", as they call it, is actually a pretty good TV series.
Its not as philosophical or detailed as major leaguers like "Supernatural", "Game of Thrones", or "True Detective" but the show is impressively just as character-driven as "Burn Notice" was in it's youth years ago or how fellow youngster "Continuum" has become in the time simultaneous to it's own.
The show gets alot of flack for being "Burn Notice"s so-called "unworthy" replacement, as many would argue, even going as far as to borrow certain thematic elements from the retired veteran series but it shouldn't go without indicting the fact that "Burn Notice" itself combined plenty of themes from "MacGyver" and "The A-Team" throughout it's own seven-year run.
However, while the series could use a little room for improvement, it's shining strength and greatest attribute is the superb acting on the part of it's actors. With "Rescue Me" alum Daniel Sunjata acting as the co-lead alongside relative newcomer Aaron Tveit, this series is - at it's core - a story of six deep and complex individuals from numerous walks of life and the unique bond that unites them all thanks to their central dark profession of choice: Law Enforcement. While young, Jeff Eastin's "Graceland" has easily become my favorite summer series.
