The Punk Defense.

"If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes."

Wrestling fans are so fucking stupid. Why all the Punk hate? He owes nobody anything. His contract and his obligated number of date appearances are two different things. If Punk had broken the latter then Vince would've sued and he didn't because he couldn't.

The man put his body on the line since he was fifteen years old and wasn't given the proper time to heal because he came back early for the fans and then was met with the stinging realization that he was getting passed up to headline the biggest show of the year after working 320 events a year for a washed up 45 year old who hadn't even worked one pay-per-view since his return. Punk did what he could do to make changes for the everymen wrestlers and to bring some spice to the PG era but it went unappreciated by corporate, even after putting over everyone they asked him to from The Rock to Cena to Lesnar. Punk did what was best for himself, the same way everyone else in that company does for themselves: Vince McMahon most of all. "Montreal Screwjob," anyone?
