"The fuse is burning. Shut out the lights."-Bruce Springsteen
So New York Film Academy it is! I just got accepted to film school for screenwriting! I can't believe it!
This one really has to go under my belt as a HUGE accomplishment!
It was PERFECT timing too. I returned to the College of Westchester yesterday and the Director of the college interviewed me in his office. Sometime during the interview, he asked me what was my progress with the other schools I'd applied to and I responded that I hadn't heard any word from NYFA yet.
This morning, a few moments ago, my mom woke me up cheering and carrying on when she told me that the President of the New York Film Academy had called personally to invite me to meet him tomorrow to sign my paperwork and officially become apart of the school.
It turns out that because the admissions staff were so impressed with the Supernatural script that I wrote and included in my application to the school that they sent it all the way up to the President and he read it, appearantly enjoyed it and invited me for a meeting tomorrow.
I guess this is one grand slam of mine to be proud of for the long run.
Now that that's said and done, I'll go back to sleep for a while.
