"I told myself when I was eighteen that as soon as I had the chance, I was gonna show all the pricks from my neighborhood that I wasn't gonna stay there my whole life and work in the county bank. I was gonna show the fucks what's what. I think I did that."-Chris Martin (Rolling Stone Magazine, Spring of 2008)
So! Long time, no speak. I've been pretty busy latley so I haven't had as much time to blog as I'd wished but I'll use my break from writing to blog for now.
My aunt was nice enough to send me some information about a internation screenplay contest the other day and I without a second's hesitation entered it. I've been writing a brand new screenplay and this time, I've decided to approach it like I've never approached a script before: without a plan!
So far, the idea is working well and I am confident in my ability to write a well-rounded script without any limitations this time around.
The first place winner wins $10, 000 but I'm not too sure if I can win the first place prize this time around although it would definatley be nice to recieve.
There was a nice moment last thursday where my mom and brother watched Supernatural and Burn notice with me. That doesn't happen often but it was nice of them to take the time out of their days and watch two of my favorite series with me.
I've been getting amped up for the "Watchmen" movie which is coming soon and I can't wait for the almost year-long hiatus of "Reaper" to be over on March 3rd when the show returns to the revamped CW!
I read a great comic book (Graphic Novel for the snobs out there), which is called "The Alcoholic" by Jon Ames and Dean Haspiel. The book is absolutley amazing, I must say. Check it out:
I'm counting down to March 12th when the badass of the bunch, Supernatural, comes back from it's month-long second hiatus. I'm waiting for Smallville to return also; the show has gained it's momentum back this season and I don't want to miss a second of the series' return to grace (Although it's way to late to re-gain it's numer one spot back from Supernatural).
I sent in my financial aid application to New York Film Academy last monday and I'm waiting for a response from them. The College of Westchester interview went well a couple of weeks ago and I'm thinking about taking part-time classes there as well as at the NYFA next year.
Lastly, I've been waiting PATIENTLY for U2's album to be realeased on March 3rd.
So, that's what I've been up to. Look out for a montage some time during the week!
