"What you don't have, you don't need it now. What you don't know, you can feel somehow."-Bono
I honestly don't even know where to start! This day has been AMAZING beyond words!!!
Surprise after surprise after surprise.
It seemed as if nothing could go wrong, it seemed like everything was perfect, it seemed like everything came together in the most ironic of ways today.
THIS. IS. A. DAY. TO. REMEMBER. FOREVER.
I woke up a bit late as usual to find that my mom and brother still aren't talking to each other for some reason or another and through all of their anger towards each other today, I just left home and caught the train....This is the start of the big day.
A little later, after my friends showed up to hang with me for a while, I just seemed to feel great although I wasn't when I left home.
As the day went on, I came to realization after realization, I finally felt like I knew where I belonged. I finally felt all the peices come together.
Nearly every word someone said and nearly everything I saw reminded me of some other place or some other time.
Examples:
1. I looked up onto the side of a building today, while I was on the train, to see a nearly faded sign with a familiar name which is also a close friend of mine's last name then no more than a few seconds later, I saw a different sign with the first name of that same friend.
2. I was listening to U2's song, "Elevation" and it summed up the way that I feel about Mia. The song went: "You make me feel like I can fly, so high. Elevation!" The ironic part was, when I looked up, she was there right infront of me.
3. I was thinking about a close friend of mine today and no more than a minute later, I saw his name written in graffiti on a statue while I was on the bus.
*4. Also, while on the bus, Solange (Read some of my older blogs.) and her friend got on without me even recognizing her until she got off at her stop and waved at me. The Ironic thing....I was just thinking about the party that she'd invited me to on the 19th.
5. The final peice of Irony today was when I was coming home and I was listening to Nine Inch Nails' song, "Capital G" and Trent sang out: "There's alot of me inside you, maybe your afraid to see.", Something that my father once said to me a VERY long time ago when I was about six or seven. I just never thought about it.
And the list of things that ironically happened today, just go on and on and on.
So much has happened today, so many things that I can't exsplain. Coincidence? Maybe. Fate? More likely....In my eyes anyway.
This day has changed alot of things. This day has changed EVERYTHING!
Today has shown me more about everything....The people who I care for and love. The way I see things.
The way I do things. All of my past descisions. All the things that I love and live for. EVERYTHING!
For some reason or another, I've come to some of the most wonderful conclusions today. It feels like alot of things are going to be okay.
And here's some more Irony for you, today is the very same day, thirty-one years ago, that four teenagers began a legendary journey....and became U2. Ironic huh???
