"What would you do if you only had one more day?"-Joe Quesada
I can't remember where I read it at but I DO remember in a article, a few months ago, Joe Quesada asked a question in a interview and it'd REALLY made me think.
Of course, the question that he'd asked in the interview was the above quote: "What would you do if you only had one more day?"
Very few things constantly make themselves known in my mind more than a few times but his question in that article REALLY had me thinking for days straight!
Just think about it. One day. Only, twenty-four hours to live. Only a chosen few, final hours to do the things that you've always wanted to do. To say the things that you've always wanted to say. To see the things that you've always wanted to see.
It's a thinker's type of question to answer and I'm pretty sure that after you've read this blog, you'll probably be doing one HELL of alot of thinking.
Once again, the question still remains: "What would you do if you only had one more day?"
I can't answer that for anyone else but I can definatley answer that question for myself.
One more day. Wow, that's a hard question. A loaded answer too.
[Sigh]
If I only had one more day, I probably wouldn't do anything extreme but I'd most likley do some sentimental and possibly questionable things.
The first thing that pops into my mind is a image of myself, calling up all my friends (The actual few that I do have.) and making sure they're all okay and having a normal conversation but without me mentioning to them that I only had one more day to live.
The second thing that I can see myself doing is, going to the store for my mom. I have no clue why that's what pops into my mind but there must be some reason for it, subconsciously. It's most likely symbolic of something between my Mom and myself.
The third thing that I see is, myself going to my Grandparents' homes and giving each one of them something that's special to me.
After that, I see myself holding hands with Mia, walking in times square. And then, I see myself giving her my Helix necklace from around my neck and then kissing her goodbye as she went home on the bus.
A new image has just popped into my mind. I'm sitting in my brother's room, It's night time, We're watching a movie while he's on the computer and then as the movie ends, I walk into my room, lay down and I fall asleep while U2 is playing on my stereoes (Not too loud, not too low.) the song, "Beautiful Day".
And that's all I can see myself doing, if I knew that I only had one more day to live.
It's trully really scary to even think about but it's damn sure something realistic.
Hey, the way I see it, when it's time to go, it's simply just time to go. There's nothing you can do to stop fate from happening.
There's a reason for everything.
Sure, It's not the most uplifting thing to think about, I know, but even so....I've never been one for unrealistic conversations.
Now the big question is....what would you do if you only had one more day?
