"If I could fix myself, I would but it’s too late for me."-Trent Reznor
This post is everything but an April Fool’s prank.
These past two days have been interesting yet hard to deal with and quite a bit sad.
Yesterday, I hung out with my old buddy, Joseph and my old classmate Alfredo over in Parkchester and besides the rain, the news of some of my old classmates were quite disturbing.
Two of my ex-classmates were killed since I last saw them back in 2005 and others, they either have kids now or their in jail. It was shocking but at the same time, exspected I guess.
Growing up where I have and how I have, I wasn’t that surprised to hear all of the horrible news they told me about the people we used to know but even so, it was still quite a shock.
All in all, It was pretty cool to see Joe again after two months but between the weather and the sorrow-filled news he told me, the day just kinda fell off a bit yesterday.
I was really happy with the reception that I got from him after he read the beginning of the Punisher story that
I’d just started to write on Sunday.
On my way home yesterday, the train took me all the way to 149th street instead of my stop at Intervale because the trains were late on their schedule. That always pisses me off beyond my boiling point especially when the train passes my station and I can’t get off because the train is going espress to 149th street.
Anyway, when I finally did get to my stop after having to come all the way back by the uptown train, I litterally fell on the slippery steel steps as I made my way downstairs. I hurt my leg too! And to top it off, it was my right leg that I fell on which wasn’t great because my right knee has been F.U.B.A.R for years now.
My leg is really hurting right now, I swear. I’ve been walking with a limp since yesterday afternoon.
I had to stop and rest for a while by the gates of the new building they’re putting up outside of the station for about five minutes but I managed to walk/limp all the way to the near-by pharmacy where I get all of my writing supplies and notebooks. This time, I got another 180 page notebook for the follow-up to my previous script of my characters.
I wrote all last night even though my leg was killing me from the fall but hey, I can’t stop the writing bug. :)
I woke up today with my leg feeling even worst than it did last night and fortunatley or unfortunatley, depending on your stand-point, I couldn’t make it out to school today.
My leg was really hurting this morning. Especially the upper part of my leg where I’d slammed into the beginning part of one of the steps.
Today, I wrote some more for my Punisher storyline and I found out that yet another of my family’s friends passed away last week so I’ve gotta go to his funeral tomorrow morning. I’ve never been too good at attending funerals....especially after my cousin’s death last summer but I’ll pay my repects anyway.
This afternoon while I spent time with my mom and she went on a shopping spree of sorts over the internet, we watched (: Well, I kinda made her watch :) the entire Terminator trilogy with me. She liked Judgment Day the most but whose to blame her, right?
Afterwards, I feel asleep for a few hours as I let my leg relax and then I came over here and well, I wrote this blog.
See ya when I see ya, guys....!
