Beautiful Days: Vol. 1

"Cause I’m not here to stare. The fabric starts to tear, it’s far beyond repair and I don’t really care."-Trent Reznor

What a great two days these have been for me.

Yesterday was no problem at all.

It was really great! I went to my thinking spot over at Bryant Park at 8 AM and stayed there in the exact same seat until 1:15 PM, writing and litterally going nuts listening to U2, NIN, The White Stripes, Gary Jules and The Verve.

It seems like I have the best of times these days by myself with the exceptions of when I’m hanging with Joe, Jason, Rafael or when I do see him on very rare occassions these day anyway, Kris.

I’m so in love with Bryant Park these days! Any place where I can sit for six hours any just write on my own terms without litterally ANY interruptions is like a heavenly dream come true for me.

Luckily for me, yesterday was as beautiful a day as I felt at the time. The sun shined bright, the sky was light blue, the park’s grass was the purest of green and my beautiful, fast and lively city was seemingly at it’s peak.

Not to mention, I only began coming to Bryant Park in order to write and relax because the Park Rangers who I ironically volunteered for, here in the Bronx ran me out of Pelham Bay Park while I was still at that bullshit, ass-backwards school, Lehman High.

But none the less, I really had fun yeterday afternoon. Away from home and away from everyone I knew along with all the frustrations of my suffocating suroundings here at home.

When I got home around 2:20 PM, I came to find a small-sized box awaiting me on my bed. I opened it and to my very anxious surprise, the boxed set of Supernatural-the second season, fell out of it.

So as you can imagine, I couldn’t wait to watch it which leads us to 5 AM this morning after I’d fallen asleep while watching "The Patriot" sometime around 5 PM, the evening prior.

Latley I’ve been falling asleep as soon as I’ve laid down on my bed when I’d come home so as you can imagine, I’ve been waking up really early mostly around 4:30 AM.

This morning (Imagine it still being dark outside), I was up, still a bit sleepy but I couldn’t resist the magic of my baby, Supernatural (Oh my GOD! I love the show so much!), so of course, as you can imagine, I had
(And I mean, HAD!) to begin watching it immediatley.

So from, 5 AM to 3 PM, I watched like eleven episodes, non-stop, even when my mom did knock on the apartment door to tell me that it was time for me to go to school, but I didn’t heed her call as usual; and I continued my viewing of the oh, so unique and beyond-great Supernatural.

I still have yet to finish the entire season but then again, I haven’t missed an episode of the show since it began in 2005 so I don’t really need to watch the whole thing but without a doubt I want and kinda need to watch the whole season, seeing as I LOVE the show and it’s magic so much.

I took a break from my marathon of cult talk and demons and evil spirits and binding spells about a hour later (After watching nearly half of the season) to watch 300 with my brother (Who wouldn’t stop bugging me to let him barrow the DVD) who ended up leaving before the movie was even finished so that he could go to the movies with another of his many flings. Geez, what a playboy.

Not long after, my mom had my ass over across the hall from my apartment at my great-grandmother’s home helping her to understand the controls of Yahoo Messenger. Of course, she’d interrupted me from researching information on the horribly missed and phenomonal favorite of mine, Journeyman (I’m STILL pretty pissed about the show’s cancellation) and as I’m sure you’ve already imagined, I’ve started writing a follow-up to the last episode (Episode 13: Perfidia) of the now-cancelled show.

So, since my previous post, I’ve started writing the follow-up to "Journeyman" now making my recent active script count at five.

When I got back from helping my mom on her computer across the hall, I finally took a look at my old flame,
Marlene’s photos of her new baby brother whose name shocked the hell out of me. The name? Carmelo.
The same name of my cousin who was killed last summer. I’m still....speachless.

I’ve never been one much for biblical ideas but I can’t help but to think about well, ressurection, although most would think of me as nuts but fuck it, I’ve honestly never cared much for the thoughts, positive or negative, of others.

Well, I’m off to finish watching John Adams (It’s uncanny how much I’m like Adams and my buddy Joe is like Thomas Jefferson!) and continuing my marathon of Supernatural aaand continuing my latest script of Journeyman.

Have a great weekend, all!

P.S: Who’s ready for NYCC 08?!
