Thanklessness.

"In a thankless world, it's hard to find people who take responsibility." - Milo Ventimiglia

We truly live in a thankless world. All morals, foresight, and gratitude seem to have flown out the window.

How is it that we have the money to fight wars in other countries that have no bearing on our own lives, but we can't take care of our own people in our homeland?

In a world where people don't even have the manners to say "thank you" after someone held the door open for them, or after returning to them something they'd dropped or forgotten, how long will it be before all courtesy and gratitude becomes a thing of the past?

When people, as they are today, have forgotten what it's like to care for something other than themselves, how long can any of us survive? How long will it be before even the purest of hearts are corrupted to the core of greed, immorality, and ruthlessness.

In a world where the only thing that's recycled is revenge, how is it possible for any of us to have faith?

When things are so much more about self-satisfaction than they are about helping others and being there for something or someone other than themselves, what hopes and expectations can any of us have for the future generations to come?

It's an opaque world that we live in, and we only have ourselves and previous generations to thank for that, but does that mean we have to be the thankless bastards that we are, even amongst ourselves?

I hope this world can turn itself around. I really do....
