"And in the end: We lay awake and we dream of making our escape." - Chris Martin
I agree. That asshole in the new viral YouTube video "Facebook Parenting: For The Troubled Teen" was SO out of line and it's not funny to laugh at, nor root for, this type of idiocracy of overkilled disciplinary action the way that many people have over the past few days this week alone.
Everyone wants to be a badass, but no one wants the consequences; And now, the guy who made the video in the first place trying to attain some sort of "badass parent" credit looks exactly like the typical (or stereotypical) middle-aged grumpy square white redneck with a chip on his shoulder who's obsessed with being "respected" because he has such a low opinion of himself while he solves everything he finds a problem with by using his coveted second ammendment that was probably a traditional tenant of his family's which was repeatedly drilled into his very own head presumably by his just-as-dysfunctional father when he was growing up during the Reagan-era.
On a much broader note: The problem with Generation X is that they, as parents, want to be appreciated for their expected benevolence in reference to fulfilling their ends of the provider-oriented role when they irresponsibly chose to have unprotected sex and henceforth became parents from that moment onwards - "PARENTS," mind you, not "SLAVEDRIVERS" who expect to be cleaned-up after by another person at every turn just because they happen to be a few years older than the person doing the cleaning. And then all of the old folks wonder where Generation Y gets our "attitude" and "entitlement" problems from.... fucking morons.
