"Sometimes the only way to keep your enemies away are to burn the bridges down so they can't cross over." - Tyrion Lannister
The comic book community needs to break out of the detrimental mentality that only a mere few hundred redundant characters are the end-all and be-all to what comic books can be. There's so many ideas and worlds to explore but for the past eighty years, the monopoly between Marvel and DC have been the only substancial game in town. This is a big reason why the artform isn't taken seriously, understandably so, and I feel that it's a serious time for change.
Until that time comes, then I'm done with buying comic books every month, I'm through with attending expensive conventions every year, and I'm most definately done dealing with alot of the obnoxious creators in the industry (not all, but well more than enough) who feel they're above you simply because they think you're merely an average disposable fan or aspiring professional who hasn't been fortunate enough to have made it in the medium the way they have.

Simply put, I'm done filling everyone else's pockets while mine remain empty. Especially when shitty ideas like 'New 52' and 'One More Day' have become the face and voice of the entire culture. I'm absolutely done and only my work matters to me from now on.
