The Best.

People take CM Punk's motto too seriously. Every time you bring him up, some troll or hater has to point out his losses and contrast them to his "best in the world" mantra. This problem of context is the same as religious people's interpretation of religious text: His motto is a testament to his belief in himself more than in a literal sense.

What makes the message immensely inspirational is that no matter how small you are, or how high the cards are stacked against you: One person can make all the difference. And that, alone, makes him all-the-more powerful than any of his contemporaries could ever be when viewed in a philosophical sense because when he steps into a ring, he becomes a symbol while everyone else are just flesh and bone.
