I've known more people who've been more friendly with me than actual friends.
Friends are people who do things for you without declaring you a burden or inconvenience, friends aren't people who leverage their generosity in your face to prove a point, friends aren't people who take someone else's side over your own just to secure their own bottom line or to keep their gravy train moving, friends dont let other friends walk into toxic situations blindly then blame the repercussions on you.
And the fact that I've never in my life had more people from all angles of my life agree with me the way they have on this particular issue, I cant help but to feel vindicated on a number of recent situations.
In this context, the only true friends we'll ever have, as deeply flawed human beings, are our own selves.
