"Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions. Oh, let's go back to the start."-Chris Martin
I must be dreaming. I must be.
How can a day be so good??? (I'm writing a optimistic blog for a change.)
This is how the day started.
1. I woke up.
2. I look at my clock.
3. I notice that I'm thiry minutes late to meet Mia.
4. I rushed up, got dressed (My usual get-up.), sprayed some cologne on and RAN to the train down the street.
So, by the time I got to the stop that I was supposed to meet her at, I didn't see her. Ironically, she was right in front of me but I didn't even notice it at first. (A sign of things to come?)
A few minutes later, as we're walking together, I noticed she was wearing a classic/very hard-to-find, Star Wars t-shirt (It has this COOL Vader design on it.) and at this point, I was stuck between wanting her hard-to-find shirt and wanting her. (She looks HOT with her hair pulled back!
).
Anyway, so we began to walk to Bronx Park East and she began to talk about how things have been with her and then we eventually sat down and talked for a few more minutes and I couldn't help but to smile because she seemed to be having such a good time and then it happened....we almost kissed. ALMOST.
It was something about it....we both felt it, I think.
But then we caught up with our psychology and we both pulled away. It's really hard to exsplain but....I'm THIS close to finally getting her.
So after the "kiss that almost happened," we began to walk again and this time, during the uncomfortable silence that lasted for about two or three minutes, she out of nowhere, said "Thanks." and so when I asked her what she'd meant, she told me that she wanted to thank me for always being there for her whenever she needed it.
All I was able to say was simply, "No problem." but it made me laugh and wonder at the same time about why she felt the need to thank me for just being the person, I've always been.
Later, as we're looking for something to do, we stopped in FYE and loitered around for a bit, looking at the wall filled with DVD boxed sets (I was staring at the Smallville and Rome boxed sets while Mia looked at the Sex and the City boxed sets....typical.), Checking out the CD section (For me, it was U2, Coldplay, NIN.
For her, it was System of a Down, O.A.R, David Bowie.) and lastly but not least, We constantly played around with the sample tracks and listened to "Our Song" (As she calls it.), Elevation by U2.
A bit later, as I walked her home, we played around for a bit. Poking each other, Playing around with a box (Out of random.), Arguing the differences between a Rat and a Squirrel (They're both the same to me.), "Fighting" (Role-playing) with each other with our powers (Cyclops Vs. Phoenix.) and finally agreeing on the simple fact that "Everything happens for a reason." during a conversation about when we first met each other.
When I finally got her home, she hugged me and that was the end of that "Date".
All in all....a good day.
