"Sometimes, life is like fighting a fire: You just have to take the heat and push through." - Tommy Gavin
This montage series was a living HELL to create, but somehow - as usual: I made it happen.
Between having to create all of the screencaps for each of the sixteen entries, editing the pictures to my liking, and then actually DOING the montages: The process took me over two weeks to complete, mainly because I only had a limited time to obtain the screencaps which I needed in order to make this whole thing possible. And with all of that being said, yet another challenge had presented itself to me while I was in the pre-production stage of this series: The characters.
I hadn't noticed it up until I was about halfway through with making the screencaps for the series, when it hit me: Never before, had I dealt with such human characters who weren't necessarily flying in the skies overhead in colorful uniforms, or killing creatures of the supernatural kind with their siblings at their side, or chasing down criminals on the streets of Los Angeles.
Neither were these people living with such extremes like protecting federal witnesses in Albuquerque, or dismantling drug cartels in Miami. This time around, the characters were that of my fellow citizens of New York (Hence, the fitting series concluder that I gave to this series).
This time, rather, I was dealing with characters who were just as regular as you or I; confused people trying to find their way through the craziness we've all caught ourselves living in at one point or another.
I think I did pretty well....
