Resurrection.

"Cities fall, but they are rebuilt. Heroes die, but they are remembered." - President Beck ("Deep Impact")

And here we are finally: The beginning of the long-awaited new blog page!

Three months ago to this very day, my original blog page was all but destroyed when MySpace made the spontaneous descision to revamp their entire site without any warning, option, or courtesy. Five years of my hard work went down the drain within a mere second. But, knowing me and my stubborn Leo nature: I wasn't about to let that happen without a fight! That same night, I began transferring all of my old posts to this new site - a hundred posts a day; a process which lasted for ten days straight.

But of course, with my luck, it wasn't long before yet another obstacle came my way when my prized laptop was also nearly destroyed thanks to a cup of lemonade that spilled on it - prompting me to take a month off of rebuilding this new page while my laptop was busy being fixed in the shop. And after that, you ask?: I had to re-link all of the music to my 232 montages because one of the geniuses at MySpace felt the need to change their URL system. But I prevailed.... and here we are today: A new copyrighted page, new features (which I'll get to in a minute), and an overall new beginning that I'm in complete control of unlike my years spent on MySpace! :)

I'd imagine this is the feeling that Dean Winchester went through after rebuilding his Impala after it got totalled at the end of Supernatural's first season. Anyway, moving on....

NEW FEATURES!

1) In the top left-hand corner, you'll notice an awesome new searchbar where you can search through specific previous posts of the blog page. It works best with a combination of the title and a passage of whatever it is you're looking for.

- Example: If you type in "Heroes" by David Bowie, the resulting page would show all posts - starting with the most recent - that have that specific text written in it somewhere.

2) In the bottom left-hand corner, you'll come across a "Blog Archive" bar which would allow you to view all of my consecutive posts in a month-by-month fashion.

3) Right above the "Blog Archive" bar, on both the bottom left-hand and right-hand sides, are two navigation links that you can click on in order to view my newer and older posts respectively.

4) In order to view any single post out of the blog list, all you have to do is click on the title of said post.
Example: If you click on this post's title - "Resurrection" - you can view it as one single post if you're on the homepage.

and lastly....

5) In order to return to the blog's homepage at any time, all you have to do is click on my name in the top banner where it says "DaiQuan's Blog". That's about it for the new features of the blog page!

Now, moving on to the only reason why anyone really pays any attention to my blogs in the first place: MONTAGES! :)

It's recently come to my attention that I never really explained to you guys how a montage is supposed to be read! Some have told me that they use their mouse to view/scroll them, but this method is actually incorrect. So, for the sake of montage quality, here goes nothing....

A MONTAGE TUTORIAL

1) The "DOWN ARROW" key on your keyboard is used for everything when viewing a montage: It moves at the precisely correct speed, opposed to where scrolling down using your mouse or by clicking on the sidebar of your computer screen to view it moves WAY too fast and doesn't place the photos in the center of the screen as they should be.

2) To begin a montage correctly, you have to click on the "DOWN KEY" twice - preferably so that the date in the top-left corner above the title of the blog post can be exactly at the top-most area of your screen where with one more click, your page will leave it behind.

- The first photo of the montage should be centered in your screen, essentially.

and lastly, but not least....

3) Follow the lyrics! :)

- When the song stops for a solo, don't move on from the most recent lyric's photo until the solo is over and the next lyric is sang.
